                                                Principal Veterinarian

Hi, I am a local girl, growing up in Geebung and attending St Kevin's Primary School.

I graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Queensland in 1983 and have worked in many northside practices over the    course of my career. I love the diversity and challenge this wonderful profession provides, I can honestly say there is never a dull moment.

I purchased this practice in October 2000 and have been working hard ever since to build the modern, well equipped facility we have today.

I am very proud of the dedicated team of healthcare providers we have gathered along the way....each and every person here is 100% committed to our mission focus which is "To be the BEST community veterinary practice in Brisbane".

I am a member of the AVA (Australian Veterinary Association),  the ASAVA (Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association, the BVP (Brisbane Practitioners Branch), AVFP (Association for Veterinary Family Practice), the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS), the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM), the AVA Dentistry special interest group, the Australian Veterinary Association Practice Management (AVAPM) and VIN ( Veterinary Information Network).

VIN is a subscription based internet community of some 40000 veterinarians world wide, which keeps us abreast with the latest developments in veterinary medicine, and also gives us the ability to access specialist veterinarians in over 50 areas of expertise.

I have also been awarded the postnominal CMAVA (Charter Member AVA) in recognition of continuing commitment to continuing education and high quality professional standards. Recently, I have been invited to lecture at the Wild West Veterinary Conference in Reno, USA, Seminars at Sea, AVPMA (Australian Veterinary Practice Management Association) annual conference, the ASAVA (Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association) conference and the AVA (Australian Veterinary Association) conference.

My areas of special interest and expertise include dentistry, internal medicine and wellness and preventative medicine.

I am blessed to have three beautiful daughters who make me proud every single day.  In 2010 I married an American veterinarian (there are photos of our wedding under special events) who is my biggest champion.

Dr Louise Lee BVSc (hons) and "Fletcher"

Hi! I'm Louise and I'm pleased to become a new member of the Zillmere Veterinary Surgery.

Since graduating from Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland in 2006, I have worked in small animal practices in Ipswich and the greater Brisbane area.

I have a particular interest in veterinary pathology and have undertaken extra study in that area.

I have two mischievous and adorable brown Burmese cats and look forward to owning a dog one day soon. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.
