Our Staff
Hi, my name is Vicky and I am a proud veterinary nurse here at the Zillmere Vet Surgery. I am a keen animal lover, and love to learn new things and share this knowledge with others. As a result, I enjoy communicating with our wonderful clients whom also share a passion for providing the very best of veterinary care for their pets. I find the bond between pet and owner incredibly special, and feel honoured that I can be a part of this. I get satisfaction from my job by knowing I can and have made a difference for so many animals.
So please drop in and say hello! Whether you are stopping by for a visit with the vet, to ask questions or even to get your pet used to the clinic environment, you will always be welcome at the Zillmere Vet clinic! I love to chat, and I strongly believe in the motto, 'No question is a silly question, it's just silly not to ask them!
Hello, I have been working at Zillmere Veterinary Surgery for 4 years. I have always had a love for animals, and growing up my home was never free of a few family pets. I have completed my Certificate II in Animal Studies and am currently studying to be a vet nurse. I am looking forward to learning more about our furry friends and how to give them the best care possible, which is something this clinic is teaching me well.
At home I have a westie, Henry, who I have to say is just a little bit spoiled. I also have a one year old turtle named Donatello, who never fails to entertain with all his quirks. I can't wait to meet you and get to know both you and your furkids!
Hi, my name is Emma and I am the Client Relations Administrator of the Zillmere Vets team. I started working here in July 2010. I have a real passion for customer service and animals so this role fits me perfectly! My favourite part of working at Zillmere Veterinary Surgery is working closely with our wonderful team and meeting our lovely clients and their furry family members.
I have completed a Certificate in Animal Care and enjoy attending seminars to gain further knowledge to help our clients, as best I can. I have two cheeky cats of my own "Chilli" and "Pepper" who are highly entertaining and gorgeous of course! I look forward to meeting all of our wonderful clients and helping in every way that I can.
I spent all of my wonderful childhood riding horses on our Cashmere goat & donkey farm in N.S.W. As a young adult I studied theatre which took me to the London's West End, Scotland and parts of Europe for three years. I then studied Environmental Science - funding it with a fun job at Melbourne Zoo. As an older adult, I lived in Nepal where I started an educational based charity & had two beautiful boys. I'm now happy to have settled down and have loved being with Zillmere Vet since 2010 especially since I've now started my Vet Nursing studies.
My home is busy with kids, a high-maintenance kitten, the lowest maintenance social cat ever, chickens that lay blue-green eggs and hopefully I'll win the battle with my partner and get a dog (Boxer) soon... I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better - I just hope it's not due to me being in charge of overdue accounts!
Megan with "Quilty" ~ Cl
Hello, I work here in between my university lectures and my favourite part of the job is talking to staff and clients. I am currently studying a double degree with a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing and Drama.
When I am not working or studying, I love to hang out with my friends, go shopping, read books, listen to music and play with my cats George and Quilty.
Michelle - Kennel Hand Hiya, I'm Michelle. For as long as I can remember I've always had pet's of the usual kind, cat, dog or bird (though I hope to get a snake in the future). I've always loved animals and am interested in all the ways we as owners can better their lives. I am currently Zillmere Vets kennel hand and you wil also see me on the front desk Tuesday evenings. I can't wait to meet you all!
Piper is our resident People Greeter. When visiting our practice you will see her following our staff around, looking for some attention! She loves pats and cuddles, and is more than happy to accept any belly rubs that come her way!
Tim has been living here at the surgery since Karen bought the practice in October 2000. Originally presented as a stray for euthanasia, Karen decided he should have a new career as a feline blood donor.
Tim is especially proud of his portrait, taken by the talented Mark from kraM photography. Mark is responsible for all our staff and pet photos and can be contacted at www.kramphotografie.com.au .
